Finn Moray today announces a new World Cup partnership with the Scottish Football Supporters Association (SFSA), with the track “The Bard #2” becoming the SFSA’s official song for the forthcoming World Cup campaign.

The partnership brings together Scotland’s national independent supporters’ organisation and Finn Moray, a music project rooted in Scottish places, stories and people. “The Bard #2” appears on Finn Moray’s debut album AON, which operates under a formal Social Compact committing fifty percent of net profits to be returned directly to community causes connected to the songs.

At the heart of the collaboration is a supporter-led creative process. Finn Moray is inviting members of the SFSA and the wider Famous Tartan Army to take part in selecting the live singer for “The Bard #2”, with preference given to SFSA members and subscribers. The chosen singer will be announced at an SFSA event and will perform the song live on the evening, creating a World Cup moment built by supporters and delivered by supporters.

The partnership will be discussed on Off the Ball on 24 January, Burns Weekend, with SFSA Director and former Scotland international Dave McPherson and Finn Moray creator David Sheret joining Tam Cowan and Stuart Cosgrove to discuss the sponsorship and the wider World Cup conversation and the Finn Moray Social Compact, respectively.

Dave McPherson, SFSA Director, said:

“This partnership is about giving supporters a genuine cultural platform during a World Cup year, while protecting the SFSA’s independence and values. ‘The Bard #2’ speaks to Scottish football identity, and the fact that the live singer will come from within our own membership makes this an authentic, supporter-led initiative. The Social Compact element also means that success directly benefits communities, which is exactly the kind of positive, practical outcome we want to see.”

David Sheret, founder of Finn Moray, added:

“‘The Bard #2’ was written to reflect the humour, pride and collective spirit of Scottish football culture. Working with the SFSA ensures the song is not just about supporters, but shaped and delivered by them, with tangible community benefit through the Social Compact.”

Further details on how members of the Tartan Army can take part in the live singer selection process will be available via the SFSA website at www.scottishfsa.org.
